Market Background:
With the rapid expansion of China’s high-speed railway network, infrastructure construction demands higher efficiency and stricter quality standards. The support layer of high-speed railway tracks requires excellent surface smoothness, structural density, and continuous paving capability. Traditional manual formwork methods often suffer from low efficiency and inconsistent quality over long construction distances, making automated concrete slipform paving technology increasingly popular.
Customer & Application Scenario:
The equipment was delivered to a contractor in Heilongjiang, China, for use in the Chengdu–Ziyang High-Speed Railway project in Sichuan Province. The project requires paving a 4.5-meter-wide concrete support layer, demanding high construction precision, efficiency, and concrete compaction quality.
Our Solution:
To meet the project requirements, we supplied one unit of the SMC-6500 Concrete Slipform Paver, equipped with a center-mounted mold specifically designed for high-speed railway support layer construction.
Key features include:
Four-track hydraulic walking system for stability
Automatic leveling and height control system
High-frequency hydraulic vibration system (up to 167 Hz)
Paving width range: 2500–4500 mm
This configuration perfectly matches the 4.5 m support layer paving requirement, enabling continuous automated construction.
Project Results:
During the project, the SMC-6500 slipform paver enabled continuous and stable paving operations. Compared with traditional construction methods, the machine significantly improved productivity, reduced labor costs, and ensured excellent surface smoothness and structural density.
Customer Feedback:
This project highlights the advantages of the SMC-6500 Concrete Slipform Paver in high-speed railway support layer construction. With its four-track structure, automated control system, and high-efficiency vibration system, the machine provides contractors with reliable, high-quality, and efficient concrete paving solutions.
